Juliana and Michael had the most beautiful, golden October day for their New York wedding in Saratoga Springs. Surrounded by family and friends, they started their new life together as husband and wife.
It was extremely important to both Juliana and Michael to include and to honor family in the celebration of their love. It started with Juliana’s gown and jewelry choices. She wore her late mother’s stunning gown along with several earring and necklace pieces from her maternal and paternal grandmothers. She carried charms of photos of her mother and both grandparents on their wedding days on her bouquet. Also on her bouquet was a brooch lent to her by a family friend, the “something borrowed” for many family members and friends before her, and after.
To begin the ceremony, Juliana’s father carried a single red rose to honor the mother of the bride during the processional. They then lit a candle in her memory. During the ceremony, Juliana and Michael asked members from both families to share readings. At the reception there was a beautiful display of a photo, poem, and candle for Juliana’s mother.
The setting of their Upstate New York wedding couldn’t have been more dreamy – rich warm sunlight filtering through the trees, golden foliage, just cool enough to be comfortable to party throughout the day and evening.
Juliana and Michael both loved their First Look moment, which you can also see in the film below. They also mentioned they loved just stepping back during the reception and taking it all in – seeing a room full of family and friends celebrating their love with them!
We were so honored to be a part of Juliana and Michael’s day and to produce a film for them to enjoy for the rest of their lives.
Warm wishes of a lifetime of happiness to the beautiful couple!
